Artifact/Evidence Retention
Solution Engineering Group has the facilities to store evidence of all kinds and sizes. The process of preserving evidence often starts with carefully documenting the item where it is found. Photographs and even laser scans can be used to capture the conditions, location, and context of an artifact. Once the artifact is documented, a plan for removing it from the scene is prepared that accounts for the fragility of the parts and the preservation of sections that might need laboratory analysis. Each artifact is assigned a unique tracking number and pertinent information about the item is entered into our Artifact Database.
We can host multi-party inspections for artifact examination and if desired, we can conduct laboratory testing for material analysis, mechanical properties and dimensional analysis.
